A Musical Collaboration Between Lyricist Reema Shrestha and Renowned Singer Pramod Kharel

Lyricist Reema Shrestha, who has been residing in the United States for a long time, has been consistently releasing many of her songs. Although she is professionally an IT engineer, her passion for writing and art has never faded. She has been writing songs based on themes of separation, love, and positivity in society. Despite her busy lifestyle, she has been making a remarkable contribution to the Nepali music industry. She has collaborated with many renowned Nepali singers, including Anju Panta, Swaroop Raj Acharya, Pramod Kharel, Prashna Shakya, Menuka Poudel, Asmita Adhikari, Pushpan Pradhan, Rajesh Payal Rai, Rewati Rai, and Kiran Gajmer, among other talented artists. She says, “Writing gives a unique sense of joy.” She has been publishing her works through her YouTube channel named Reema Shrestha’s World . Despite living a busy life abroad, she has never let go of Nepali art, culture, language, and traditional identity.
For the past six years, she has been contributing as an advisor to the Kansas City Nepalese Society. To preserve Nepali culture, the organization has been actively organizing events such as New Year, Teej, Holi, Dashain, and Deusi-Bhailo programs. It has also been hosting musical events featuring various national artists from Nepal. Recently, the song “Yaad” has been released, featuring the voice of singer Pramod Kharel, with lyrics written by Reema Shrestha herself. The music for the song has been composed by Rabindra Poudel. The music video features performances by Dr. Subhash Acharya, Rabindra Paudyal and Kritika Basnet. The music video is directed by renowned director Sonam Pakhrin, with cinematography by Dinesh Parajuli and editing by Bikash Dahal. The song “Yaad” is available to listen to and watch on various digital platforms.
