2nd July 2025, Kathmandu
ASUS’s Authorized Distributor for Nepal – Nagmani International Private Limited announced the arrival of the 2025 ROG (Republic of Gamers) Strix lineup. Featuring cutting-edge silicon from NVIDIA®, Intel®; brilliant Nebula HDR Displays with Mini LED and ACR technology; and incredible thermal solutions, the 2025 lineup is here to redefine what flagship gaming laptops can be. Intel models of the ROG Strix SCAR 16 and Strix G16, also feature new designs with the world’s first tool-less upgrades on a gaming laptop.
Ultimate gaming performance
As a flagship brand, gamers expect the best performance possible from ROG Strix. The 2025 lineup
doesn’t disappoint, with all models featuring the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTXTM 50 Series Laptop GPUs,
providing out-of-this-world gaming experiences in the most demanding titles. With killer features like
DLSS 3 and Frame Generation, gamers can enjoy the latest graphics technology like ray tracing without
sacrificing performance.
The 2025 Strix family launching in Nepal boasts the latest processors from Intel. The Intel-based Strix
SCAR 16 (G635), Strix G16 (G615), sport up to Intel® CoreTM Ultra 9 processor 275HX. No matter which
variant gamers choose, world-class gaming performance and multi-tasking potential await. Supported by
up to 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and 4TB of PCIe® Gen 4 storage on the Strix SCAR 16, these
machines are the perfect match for gamers and content creators who demand an unrivaled experience.
Top-tier thermal system
The ROG Strix lineup has always pushed the boundaries of what is possible in a gaming laptop form factor, and 2025 is no different. This year, ROG utilizes a new sandwiched heatsink design on its Intel-
based Strix machines, which puts heatsink fins on the top and bottom of the new end -to-end vapor
chamber. This new design saves space and increases cooling efficiency, especially when combined with
a full-length rear exhaust vent, liquid metal on the CPU and GPU, and plenty of intake space on the side,
bottom, and keyboard. Taken together, this thermal system allows these laptops to push up to 240W of
power, with less noise than the previous generation. All the while, integrated dust filters keep debris out of
the system for extra longevity.
Enhanced Nebula display experience with ACR technology
The Strix SCAR 16 feature an ROG Nebula HDR Display with Mini LED, now capable of 1200 nits of peak
brightness for incredible image quality in games and movies. The Strix G16 sport ROG Nebula Displays,
with a 2.5K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate plus 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. No matter
what Strix laptop gamers choose, they will never have issues staying on target.
All the new Strix machines also come with a new dual-layer ACR (Ambient Contrast Ratio) film that
serves two key purposes. The first layer of film reduces reflections by 55% for 4.5x better contrast,
keeping images punchy and vivid while also revealing enemies in the shadows. A second layer of film
improves viewing angle capabilities for a 180° ultra-clear view, allowing the audience to see the gamer
dominate the competition from any angle.
Brand new designs on Intel models
This year’s Intel-based ROG Strix laptops feature a brand new chassis design with reduced seams and a
smaller gap between the lid and hinge for a sleeker look. The vents on the underside of the chassis give
the illusion of rushing air, shaped to evoke a sense of swift motion.
Since 2018, ROG Strix laptops have boldly featured an RGB light bar across the bottom of the chassis.
For 2025, the ROG Strix family proudly features the world’s first full-surround RGB lightbar. Designed to
resemble the loops found on a racetrack, this lightbar gives a balanced glow to the machine that makes it
almost seem as if it’s floating above the surface of the desk.
The bold designs don’t stop there. ROG is also bringing its iconic AniMe Vision to the Strix SCAR 16. As
a fully controllable lighting array with 810 LEDs and thousands of tiny holes in the lid, the AniMe Vision
array offers customized lighting effects with plenty of room for the classic RGB ROG logo. For those who
appreciate these bold flashes but want subtler visual flair, when all the flashy lights are disabled, the logo
turns to a stealthy black chromium for a stylish yet subdued ultra-premium appearance.
The Intel-based ROG Strix laptops have all of their I/O on the left and right sides of the machine, giving
gamers easy access to all of their critical I/O. With dual Thunderbolt TM 5 ports, a dedicated HDMI 2.1 and
2.5G Ethernet port, plus three USB-A ports, the 2025 Strix SCAR machines have connectivity to match
any setup.
Future-proof upgradeability
The new Intel-based models feature one more exciting addition to these new designs: the first-ever
completely tool-less bottom panel, allowing for seamless upgrades. By sliding a single lever and pulling
downwards, gamers can easily remove the entire bottom panel, revealing both SSD and RAM slots.
Pioneered in ROG motherboards, the SSD slots also feature the Q-latch design, making their mounting
tool-less as well.
This new tool-less design bridges the gap between gaming laptops and high-end gaming desktops, and
allows gamers that may be unfamiliar or uncomfortable with disassembling a laptop a quick and easy way
to gain access to key components of their system. A shield with cutouts protects sensitive components
from being disturbed and offers clear visual guidance on where the upgradeable components are located.
Users with more experience can remove the plate with just a few screws to reveal the entire mainboard.
Whether upgrading or just cleaning the system, these are the most user-friendly laptops ROG has ever
produced.
